The Pastor
Reverend Eric L. Fooks
Pastor Eric and Ruth Fooks, along with their grandson Trevor, came to New Life Assembly in July of 2005. Pastor Eric had served as Senior Pastor at Oasis Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California, for almost eight years. Prior to that, Pastor Eric had served the Lord as Associate Pastor, Worship Team Member, Church Board Member and Treasurer. Ruth had served as the Greeter, Nursery and Children's Ministries Leader, the Women's Ministry Leader, and the Church Events Coordinator. Since coming to New Life, weekly attendance has risen from an average attendance of forty-one to ninety-eight persons, with an overall adherency of one hundred forty five.
Pastor's Ministry Philosophy
It is my hearts desire to see the lost of the world brought to God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and to see every child of God grow in the Lord through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. I approach this labor with Biblical simplicity. At New Life assembly we preach and teach the whole and uncompromised Word of God, preached with power and passion. So many today settle for a "feel good", "watered-down" gospel. We can only grow and become what God desires all His people to be through the whole counsel of His Word. All the ministries at New Life Assembly flow from this great truth. We recognize and receive the Holy Spirit's reality, person, and working, just as He did in the Book of Acts. Christ desires His Church to have power (Acts1:8).
As a result, we regularly expereience the manifestation of the Holy Spirit! Team ministry is a key factor in fulfilling the purpose and plan that God has for His church. Jesus sent out His disciples "two by two." At New Life Assembly we labor together, bringing our respective gifts and talents to glorify God, and to build His Kingdom.
Our purpose at New Life Assembly is to connect you to the One True God, to know and to make known His Son Jesus Christ, and to establish, enhance, and deepen your relationship with God through Christ. We are here to meet you at your point of need, and to partner with you in realizing the fulfillment of your need.
I believe that you will enjoy your worship experience at New Life Assembly. Ruth and I, along with all the folks at New Life Assembly, cordially invite you to come and experience the joy, the peace, the victory, and the fulfillment of a genuine, personal relationship with God through Christ!
May God greatly bless you as you seek Him!
